Specialist Environmental and Geotechnical Contract Drilling

Our geotechnical drilling services include drilling for geotechnical investigations, slope stability analysis, and foundation design. We use a range of drilling techniques, including sonic drilling and coring, to ensure efficient and accurate results.

Environmental Sampling

We specialise in environmental drilling for mining and public infrastructure projects. Our team has extensive experience in drilling for soil, groundwater, and rock samples, as well as installation of monitoring wells and piezometers. We use state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to ensure accurate and reliable results.

  • 44mm diameter continuous soil coring using wireline hollow augers (hole diameter 125mm, 25m of drill string available) suitable for very soft to very stiff unconsolidated formations can handle some gravels and weakly cemented strata.

  • Samples retrieved in clear pvc tubes which can be used for storage or split open onsite.

  • 60mm diameter continuous soil coring using wireline hollow augers (hole diameter 160mm, 15m of drill string available) suitable for very soft to very stiff + unconsolidated formations, can handle some gravels and weakly cemented strata. Excellent recovery.

  • ID is large enough to construct wells or install instruments during pull back. We can also wash bore or core through these augers once they are in place.

  • Samples are retrieved in clear PVC tubes which can be used for storage or split open onsite.

Geotechnical Sampling and Testing

We specialise in providing drilling services for infrastructure development projects, including road construction, bridge construction, and pipeline installation. Our team has the expertise and equipment to ensure accurate and efficient drilling, even in challenging terrain.

  • SPT testing to AS1289 6.3.1 – 2004 using automated drop hammer. Equipment Calibration Records from a NATA Certified Laboratory available.

  • Diamond Drilling (Coring) using conventional and wireline equipment:

    • (NMLC/NQ3/HMLC/HQ3/PQ3/4C/6C)

  • Wash Boring and casing in unconsolidated formations.

  • Packer testing using mechanical and wireline packers:

    • Mechanical - NMLC/NQ3​

    • Wireline - NQ3/HQ3/PQ3

  • Installation of VWP, inclinometer and monitoring equipment.
